I don’t like gimmicks at all. It’s detrimental to the application. We are looking for balance, reason, and reflection. We don’t admit people who “rise to the top of the pile” because of a gimmick. There are certainly ways to be creative in your application. But you should be creative in an application only if you are a creative person at heart—not because you are trying to be someone you are not.
